Director of Education & Programming The Online Trust Alliance (OTA) is a
non-profit industry association seeking a qualified professional with
association management, security and privacy experience to join our team.
This is a full-time, position working on the average of
50 hours per week, reporting to the Executive Director (ED, supporting
committee chairs as required. This
is a hands-on role requiring an agile professional who is self-directed and
can manage multiple tactical projects through implementation.
This position is located in Bellevue. The
candidate may work remote part time as mutually agreed upon.
Responsible for:
-
Drive tactical implementation of
major initiatives.
-
Support
relationships with strategic external organizations including trade
organizations, industry working groups and advocates.

Drive and manage OTA working
committees.
-
Membership management with a
strategic goal to drive recruitment of new member companies and expand engagement
with existing members.
-
Marketing & communications
including authoring, and execution of email newsletters, member communications,
webinars and social media.

Committee management,
including facilitating agenda setting with committee chairs, minutes and
editing of technical, business and public policy papers.

Event management including
promotion, logistics support, speaker coordination & lead generation
follow-up.

Education Programming -
responsible for scheduling, promoting and facilitating OTA Academy
training workshops, webinars and briefings - establishing and
maintaining an ongoing cadence of programming which educates both
members on key issues and trends.

Strategic insights, sound
problem identification, judgment, conflict resolution and decision-making skills,
often in ambiguous situations.

Ability to collaborate with
multiple stakeholders and to work effectively with executives.

Capacity to handle multiple
priorities, manage deliverables to dynamic timelines while fostering
consensus.

Subject matter expertise in
interactive marketing, advertising, social media, security & privacy.

Expertise in public policy,
supporting legislative initiatives, inquiries and request for comments

Excellent presentation, verbal,
technical writing & editing skills

High proficiency in common
productivity and collaboration applications, e.g. Microsoft Office,
(Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Dreamweaver, Microsoft
Expression Web Essentials, wiki’s,
web content and authoring and management tools, mailing list
administration, etc.

Other - No relocation assistance is
provided. Applicant may work from a dedicated and secure home office
part-time. Applicant must be a US Citizen or have a valid work permit
and US Passport. Travel up to 15 to 20%. Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
